Little Boy

Ceramic sculpture, raku clay, stoneware, electric kiln, coiling technique.

At the supermarket I noticed a boy. He looked very cheeky and stubborn. He was challenging his mother for a while running around the aisles. His mother called him a few times but he ignored her. Finally, she stopped him and started lecturing. The boy noticed that I was looking at him and seemed embarrassed. To compensate, he pretended like the situation didn’t bother him. Quite arrogantly he put his hands in his pockets and stood tall – demonstrating how little he cared.
