My inspirations are the ever-changing human emotions and the effect they have on the body. I have a deep interest in anatomy and the function of the body as well as the mind-body connection. Having said that, I also love creating pots, bowls and other functional objects and exploring and experimenting with new pottery techniques.
I am a versatile artist who enjoys working with various mediums and techniques
including drawing, oil and watercolor painting, sculpture and pottery. My true passion lies in ceramic figurative sculptures. My sculptures are hand built from clay using the coiling technique, and painstakingly textured by hand.
I was classically trained at the Academy of Fine Arts, Wroclaw, Poland, where I completed five years of study in Ceramic and Design, 3 of which I had the honor of learning from the great Professor Krystyna Cybinska.
In 1999 I came to Melbourne where my Degree was assessed by the Overseas Qualification Unit to the educational level of an Australian Bachelor Degree with elements of study at the Master and Honors level. I soon started working at LTD Network as a graphic designer till the end of 2001. Currently working at the Moorleigh Ceramic Co-Operative in Bentleigh East.
Above sculptures are part of a project “Humans of Kingston” which has been assisted by the City of Kingston Art grants 2015/2016.
I hope you find my work interesting.
